Maxorin Guides: Where to Start Reading About Male Performance
Quick answerThe Maxorin library has 2 long guides, 3 blog articles and 6 quick primers on this page. New to the topic? Start with the male performance guide. Comparing products? Start with the buying guide. Every piece links its sources and gives the dose tested in studies next to what the label prints.

Which long guides should I read first?
One explains the topic. The other teaches you how to shop for it.
Two long guides sit at the center of the library. The first explains male performance and the habits behind it. The second shows you how to judge any product in this category before you pay.
Plan on 10 to 15 minutes for each one. Both link every study they use and say where the evidence is thin.
Male performance guide
What male performance means, how blood flow and nitric oxide fit in, and the signs that it is time to see a doctor.
Read the guideChoosing a male performance supplement
A checklist for labels, blends, seals, sellers and refund terms. It works for any brand on the shelf, not only ours.

Each takes one topic in depth. All posts are listed on the blog.
L-citrulline and nitric oxide explained
How citrulline becomes arginine, what the 1.5 g trial found and how that compares with a 570 mg blend.
Read the articleZinc and niacin: what the numbers mean
Daily Values, upper limits and flushing, using the two amounts the label actually prints.
Read the articleHow to read a proprietary blend label
Why blends list a single weight, how label order sets a ceiling and what that means for your math.

Quick primers: which six ideas do the guides build on?
Each primer takes about a minute. Read them in any order.
What counts as a dietary supplement?
In the US, a supplement is regulated as a food, not a drug. The FDA does not approve supplements before they go on sale (FDA, Q&A on Dietary Supplements). The company selling it answers for its safety and its label.
So a label may say a product “supports” normal function. It may not say it treats or cures a disease. A product that promises to fix a medical problem is a red flag.
What does nitric oxide do?
Nitric oxide is a tiny molecule that signals blood vessel walls to relax. The body builds it from the amino acid arginine. Oral citrulline raised blood arginine more than arginine itself in one study of 20 volunteers (Schwedhelm et al., 2008).
That is why citrulline shows up in so many formulas in this category. It is also why people on nitrate or blood pressure drugs should ask a doctor first.
Why does label order matter in a blend?
A proprietary blend lists its parts from heaviest to lightest and prints only a total (21 CFR 101.36). For Maxorin, that total is 570 mg across six ingredients.
So the second ingredient can weigh no more than half the blend, the third no more than a third, and so on. The result is a ceiling for each part. The real amounts stay private.
What do % Daily Value and upper limit mean?
Daily Value tells you how much of a day's need one serving covers. The upper limit is the most you can take each day without likely harm.
Maxorin prints niacin at 20 mg (125% DV) against a 35 mg upper limit (NIH ODS, Niacin). Zinc is 11 mg (100% DV) against a 40 mg upper limit (NIH ODS, Zinc). Both fit, if you count other supplements too.
When should erection problems go to a doctor?
Right away, if they are new. In a review of 92,757 men, ED was linked to a 44% higher risk of heart events (Vlachopoulos et al., 2013). Diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure are leading causes (NIDDK, causes of ED).
No supplement, Maxorin included, can treat ED. A checkup may find a cause that needs its own care.
Why buy only from an authorized seller?
This category draws fakes and spiked products. FDA testing keeps finding hidden sildenafil or tadalafil in items sold as natural (FDA, sexual enhancement notifications). Those drugs can drop blood pressure sharply when mixed with nitrate heart medicine.
An authorized source lowers that risk. Check the seal and lot number when your parcel arrives, and see where to buy for the right links.
Who are the guides written for?
The guides are for adult men and anyone helping them shop. No science background is needed. Each new term is explained where it first appears, and the glossary below gathers the common ones.
You do not have to buy anything to use them. The buying checklist and the safety primers apply to every brand.
On medication?
If you take nitrates, blood pressure drugs or blood thinners, start with the safety page. Then take your questions to your doctor.

Maxorin guides FAQ
Which Maxorin guide should I read first?
If the topic is new to you, open the male performance guide. If you already know the basics and want to compare labels, open the buying guide.
Are the Maxorin guides free?
Yes. Every guide, article and primer here is free to read. None of them asks for an email address or a sign-up.
Who writes the Maxorin guides?
The Maxorin Editorial Desk at Maxoerin writes and checks them. We are the licensed U.S. retail desk, not the maker, and we earn money when you buy through this site.
Are the guides medical advice?
No. They explain ingredients, labels and research in plain English. Take any health question, including erection problems, to your doctor.
Do the guides say how much citrulline is in a capsule?
They give the most it could be, not the real amount. The Maxorin label prints only the 570 mg blend total, so L-citrulline is at most 570 mg.
How often are the guides updated?
We edit a guide when a cited source, the label or a store policy changes. The date at the top of the page moves forward each time.
